Meet the Doctors

Dr. Michael Cody, DC.,FICPA

Board-Certified Pediatric Chiropractor

Dr. Cody grew up in Nebraska , where he played college football and baseball. After transferring to Elmhurst College he graduated in 1989 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Pre-Physical Therapy. For the next two years, he worked in the sports and physical therapy world.

Through a series of events and inspired meetings he met a chiropractor who introduced him to chiropractic. This chiropractor said to Dr. Cody, "As a chiropractor, you can do everything a physical therapist does--- only more." That started Dr. Cody on his journey of helping families express more of their God-given potential with the use of the neurological chiropractic adjustments and lifestyle modification coaching.

Since 1994, upon graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, he has been practicing in Fox River Grove. After three years of study, he achieved a Board certification in Chiropractic Pediatrics. Dr. Cody is the most experienced board certified pediatric chiropractor in the area; almost half of his current practice is under the age of 12.

Dr. Cody's family consists of his wife Erica and sons JR, John and Jake. The newest addition to Dr. Cody's family is a grandson Jesse. Dr. Cody enjoys his family, sports, and his spiritual life.

Meet Dr. Younis

Dr. Younis was born and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He attended Albright College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1977. While working at a health club during the summer between his junior and senior year, he met a Chiropractor who inspired him to pursue a career in Chiropractic. In 1978 he was accepted and enrolled in New York Chiropractic College. Upon graduation in 1982, he began practice in New Jersey. In 1983 he met his wife and married in 1984.

In 1986, they moved to Illinois and started a practice in Lake Zurich, where he has been in practice prior to joining Cody Chiropractic & Wellness. Dr. Younis is very excited to be a part of this awesome practice. His passion and experience in Chiropractic has been the drive behind his mission to provide the best quality care possible to the community, and to have a profound impact on the lives and well-being of each of his patients.

He and Carol his wife currently reside Palatine. They have two daughters, Lauren, a journalism major at Indiana University and Jordan-Taylor, majoring in foreign affairs and economics at Michigan State University. When not practicing he enjoys exercise, cooking, reading, and following his faith.

Cody Chiropractic Wellness Center first opened its doors in the spring of 1994. We are located at 930 Route 22, Fox River Grove , IL . 60021. Our philosophy is to help people express their total health potential by getting the sick well, and guiding healthy individuals to a new level of wellness.

This is done in a positive atmosphere that educates the patient as well as nurtures them towards better health. We are dedicated to the utilization of the most up to date, state-of-the-art technology available to diagnose and monitor conditions. More importantly, we never make the procedure more important than the individual.

Merry Cody

Hello, my name is Merry; I am a Chiropractic Technologist and love being a part of the Cody Chiropractic team!

Dr. Cody (my brother) asked me one day if I would help do some filing in his office. At first I was reluctant, how well would siblings work together? I knew right then and there that I could work in this office for the rest of my life!!! I knew that in this office I can achieve all of the things I ever wanted to; I would be able to help people, get to know all kinds of people from all walks of life, and have a completely positive and uplifting work environment!

After working here for a year and a half, I decided to further my chiropractic education and become a Chiropractic Technologist (CT). I went to Palmer College of Chiropractic, the same school that my brother attended. My program lasted a year and a half; I took classes in Radiology, Rehabilitation, Clinical Sciences, Book keeping, Office Management, Insurance, Anatomy and Physiology, Philosophy, and many others.

I have quite a wide range of skills, and am excited about every aspect of working in the Chiropractic world. It is a challenge, but that is half of the fun. I returned to this office in July of 2000, and will be here for years to come. I feel extremely privileged and lucky to have chiropractic in my life- in what other profession can you actually enhance a persons' potential in life without the use of harmful drugs, or surgery?

Carol Cody

I started with Dr. Cody when he first opened his office in May of 1994. (Technically, I started with him a long time before that, as he is my son.)

After graduating from college, getting married and having three wonderful children, I spent the next several years mostly being a wife and stay-at-home mom. When Mike asked me if I would work with him in his new practice, I was very happy to be able to help him get started in his office, and also ready for more challenges in my life.

We were a 2 person office for almost a year, attended several seminars and I was able to learn about chiropractic health care and a chiropractic office. I am sorry to say, we were not a chiropractic family until Mike started learning about it and decided that’s what he wanted to do with his life. It has made a tremendous difference in my life and that of my whole family.

I am so happy to have been a part of this practice, and actually witness what chiropractic can do for people.

I fell in love with Dr. Mike Cody and his passion. I’m driven to further his dream of helping others achieve optimum wellness. I create opportunities for the community to experience Chiropractic Care through educational workshops, fundraisers and other special events. I enjoy being with my handsome husband and amazing boys: JR, John, Jake...and our beautiful grandson, Jesse!
